Loved and Lost

“This is it Rima, we cannot go on like this. I will have to let you go.”

He practiced the lines while still waiting for her to occupy the chair in front of him. They had got married two years back after a whirlwind romance and he fell out of love gradually.

She was almost there, smiling and waving at him while crossing the road. Right before his eyes, a speeding truck hit her. Watching the ambulance take her  away,  he realized that he still loved her so dearly and prayed silently, wishing for her to be alright.

Writing to me is therapy, it frightens and comforts at the same time. Liberates like nothing else. A book in my own name is a dream, but a bigger dream would be to write something that haunts the reader even after the last page is turned and the book is shut. I enjoy reading and music, spending time with family whilst battling my social awkwardness.

  1. How easily is for some of us to feel out of love just like that, and when we are about to lose a person in real we realize that there wasn’t no love!!! I loved your story a lot!!!
