Eternal Love

She fought a losing battle with cancer. A frail old bag of bones, Shar Pei skin, sunken eyes, she was an eye sore for the world. But not for him.

He had loved her with his whole being all these years. When she could still walk, they used to take long walks along the beach, enjoy the raindrops pitter pattering on the windowpane, read books together.

Now she was gone, but how could he desert her. His love for her was true and eternal.

As the ambulance took her away, Tiger ran to lick her face for the last time.

Writing to me is therapy, it frightens and comforts at the same time. Liberates like nothing else. A book in my own name is a dream, but a bigger dream would be to write something that haunts the reader even after the last page is turned and the book is shut. I enjoy reading and music, spending time with family whilst battling my social awkwardness.

  1. Such a beautiful relationship between them. I read this about the relationship between a dog and his master… He is your friend, your partner, your defender. You are his life, his love, his leader. He will be yours, faithful and true, to the last beat of his heart.

  2. That’s so beautiful…reminds me of the video of the lion who was raised by 2 friends and left in the wild as an adult. When they went to meet the lion after years, they were met with the same love from the lion with which they were so used to. Beautiful!
